  6. Thank you for taking dumpTRUCK! out for a test drive.
  7.  
  8. Once you have decoded and unstuffed the dumpTRUCK! folder,
  9. you are ready to go (no "installation" is needed). You can put
  10. the folder anywhere on your hard drive, but DO NOT move the
  11. program out of its folder. If you need easier access to the
  12. program, make an alias.
  13.  
  14. dumpTRUCK! does not put any files in the system folder,
  15. so un-installing is as easy as trashing the folder.
  16.  
  17. dumpTRUCK! job files can be stored and accessed from any
  18. location on the hard drive and you can double-click them
  19. to start the program.

  37. HOW TO USE:
  38. --------------------------------------------------------

  40. 1. Job is an internal description for the batch you are
  41. creating.
  42.  
  43. 2. Driver is the email address that is the contact for
  44. the batch of URLs you are sending.
  45.  
  46. 3. Cargo is the list of URLs (one per line, must start with
  47. "http://" and end with a return). You can add them one at a
  48. time, or you can copy and paste a SimpleText (or ascii)
  49. text list. You should really not put more than 25 URLs in a job.
  50.  
  51. 4. Schedule is the list of search engines that dumpTRUCK
  52. will send the "cargo" to. This release includes 14
  53. major search engines to submit to. The "edit", "load"
  54. and "restore" buttons all relate to an ability to add,
  55. modify and use different schedule lists.

  57. 5. START is the key. Once you have a job ready to go and
  58. you are connected to the internet and online, click
  59. start and dumpTRUCK will do its thing.

  66. List of Known Issues:

  69. -Some of the engine response pages will contain broken
  70. graphics. This is normal, as you are viewing pages contained
  71. on your hard drive, that have no access to relative graphic
  72. links.
  73.  
  74. -MSN Web Search may complain after the first URL submitted
  75. in a batch that you can only submit one URL per site per day.
  76.  
  77. -PlanetSearch's response will be a copy of their homepage.
  78. This is normal. If you were to add URLs manually you would
  79. get the same response.
  80.  
  81. -Finally; sometimes engines will respond in strange ways;
  82. i.e; you may get "garbage" on the response page. This is not
  83. always because of a problem with dumpTRUCK! or the engine
  84. file you are using. The search engines are just computers
  85. (run by people) and they sometimes have problems, just like
  86. the rest of us. Most times if you try again later the search
  87. engine will respond the way it should.
