dumpTRUCK! READ ME!
--------------------------------------------------------
dumpTRUCK! 1.5.3 Release Date 09/08/99
--------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for taking dumpTRUCK! out for a test drive.
Once you have decoded and unstuffed the dumpTRUCK! folder,
you are ready to go (no "installation" is needed). You can put
the folder anywhere on your hard drive, but DO NOT move the
program out of its folder. If you need easier access to the
program, make an alias.
dumpTRUCK! does not put any files in the system folder,
so un-installing is as easy as trashing the folder.
dumpTRUCK! job files can be stored and accessed from any
location on the hard drive and you can double-click them
to start the program.
Please read the Known Issues below.
If you continue to use dumpTRUCK!,
please pay the $15 registration fee.
You can visit our website at:

HOW TO USE:
--------------------------------------------------------
1. Job is an internal description for the batch you are
creating.
2. Driver is the email address that is the contact for
the batch of URLs you are sending.
3. Cargo is the list of URLs (one per line, must start with
"http://" and end with a return). You can add them one at a
time, or you can copy and paste a SimpleText (or ascii)
text list. You should really not put more than 25 URLs in a job.
4. Schedule is the list of search engines that dumpTRUCK
will send the "cargo" to. This release includes 14
major search engines to submit to. The "edit", "load"
and "restore" buttons all relate to an ability to add,
modify and use different schedule lists.
5. START is the key. Once you have a job ready to go and
you are connected to the internet and online, click
start and dumpTRUCK will do its thing.
More usage tips are available in the help file.
I hope you find dumpTRUCK! a valuable tool.
--------------------------------------------------------
List of Known Issues:
--------------------------------------------------------
-Some of the engine response pages will contain broken
graphics. This is normal, as you are viewing pages contained
on your hard drive, that have no access to relative graphic
links.
-MSN Web Search may complain after the first URL submitted
in a batch that you can only submit one URL per site per day.
-PlanetSearch's response will be a copy of their homepage.
This is normal. If you were to add URLs manually you would
get the same response.
-Finally; sometimes engines will respond in strange ways;
i.e; you may get "garbage" on the response page. This is not
always because of a problem with dumpTRUCK! or the engine
file you are using. The search engines are just computers
(run by people) and they sometimes have problems, just like
the rest of us. Most times if you try again later the search
engine will respond the way it should.
